About Stream

We built the billing tool we needed and could not find.

Stream started in Riyadh in 2023 when our founders kept watching Saudi organisations lose hours each week to manual invoice follow-up. Generic billing tools were built for Western markets. We built one for ours.

Our Story

Why we built Stream

Before Stream, our founding team spent years working with finance teams at Saudi schools, sports clubs, and tech startups. The pattern was the same everywhere: billing ran on a combination of spreadsheets, WhatsApp messages, and a lot of manual phone calls. Finance staff were good at their jobs, but their jobs were mostly follow-up.

We looked at the billing tools available in 2023. Most were built for US or European SaaS companies. They handled credit card charging well. They did not handle a parent in Riyadh who preferred to pay after Friday prayers, or a club membership that included three siblings on different schedules, or an invoice that needed to go to a government procurement system in ZATCA format.

Stream is designed around how Saudi organisations actually bill and collect. That means WhatsApp delivery alongside email, PDPL-compliant data residency, ZATCA e-invoicing support, and reminder sequences written for the relationship context of schools and membership organisations, not the transactional context of SaaS companies.

We launched in early 2025 with a small group of schools and clubs in Riyadh. The results were consistent enough that we brought in organisations from Jeddah and Dammam before the year ended. Every customer runs on the same platform we built for that first cohort, and the core billing and collections logic has not changed because the problem has not changed.

Our Values

What guides how we build and how we work

Relationship-aware collections

The organisations we serve have long-term relationships with the people they bill. Our collections workflows are designed to protect those relationships, not just recover the balance.

Built for this market

Stream is not a generic billing tool adapted for Saudi Arabia. It is designed from the ground up for how Saudi organisations invoice, follow up, and collect. That distinction matters in the details.

Privacy and compliance first

Every customer's billing data stays in KSA-region infrastructure. PDPL compliance is not a checkbox for us. It is a design constraint that shapes every feature we build.

Automation that explains itself

Finance teams need to understand what Stream is doing and why. Every automated action is logged, reviewable, and configurable. Automation should reduce workload, not create opacity.
